Church St. Wiperti

The church is located southwest of castle hill. Its history is linked to the Ottonian dynasty. King Henry I. and his son, the roman-german emperor Otto I., took up residence here while they were celebrating Easter. The church with its about thousand-year-old crypt is a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture. For a reason it`s part of the Romanesque Road.
